We’ve just gotten word that the 36th annual Pennwriters Conference will be held on May 19-21, 2023 in Pittsburgh! If you’re interested in running a workshop, submissions are due September 1st, 2022 – more information on that below.

“Workshop submissions are due September 1, 2022 for the 36th annual Pennwriters Conference. It will be held May 19-21, 2023 in Pittsburgh.
Please send your submissions as soon as possible to pennwritersconfcoordinator@gmail.com.
The submission should include the following:
1. The title of the workshop.
2. A description of the workshop (no more than a few paragraphs).
3. What you want attendees to take away from this workshop.
4. Why you’re qualified to teach this workshop.
Also, please let us know if the workshop is genre-specific, and what level it is intended for (novice, experienced, master, or all levels). Also, let us know if you will need AV. This is important.
If your workshop is selected, we ask that you agree to be filmed or recorded in the event that we’re able to offer a virtual option for 2023.
Compensation comes in the form conference fees and free nights at the hotel.
Our selection committee will meet the first week of September. We’ll contact everyone by October 1st.
