If you hadn’t already noticed, Facebook’s new algorithms are starting to bury fan pages… which means you’ll be seeing fewer posts from local bookstores, authors, and organizations like Littsburgh in your news feeds.
Since we launched Littsburgh, we’ve paid to promote our posts on Facebook so that they actually reach our audience — we run ads on the site so that we can have a budget to make sure you see our posts! — but we’re noticing that we’re reaching fewer and fewer of our fans per advertising dollar…
So if you get your Littsburgh news through Facebook and you’d like to make sure that you’re not missing out on literary Pittsburgh, connect with us on Twitter and Instagram (where we’ve been posting a ton of fun Instagram “stories” featuring book recommendations, bookstore visits, and event updates).
As always, the absolute best way to stay in the Littsburgh loop is to sign up for our newsletter, which we send semi-monthly!
Don’t worry: We’re not going to stop posting on Facebook! But if you’d like to show your love of Littsburgh with your Facebook friends, please do comment on our posts (and share them!)… any engagement on our Facebook posts will help make sure they reach more of our audience.
Bonus points if you add our “Yinz Reading” Facebook frame to you profile pic!
