Timons Esaias is a satirist, writer and alleged poet living in Pittsburgh. His works, ranging from bad to worse, have been published in twenty-two languages. People who know him are not surprised to learn that he lived in a museum for eight years. He collects chess sets and elephants, and he visits far too many coastal fortifications. Police reports indicate that he goes on and on when asked a question. Scholars are convinced that Walter de la Mare’s 1918 poem “Poor Tired Tim! It’s sad for him,” was written about him.
