DESCRIPTION: When the world falls apart, what happens to the survivors—and the generations that come after them? Can the world be rebuilt? THE HEIGHT OF LAND by M. C. Benner Dixon explores these questions in a literary coming-of-age novel set in a post-catastrophe world. Celebrate the novel’s release at this post-post-apocalyptic party. Get your book signed by the author. Hear a reading from the novel. Bring a poem or song to share at the open mic. Engage with local artists and craftspeople demonstrating the low-tech skills of the future. Purchase new and used books from City Book—and more! This family-friendly gathering is a great opportunity to contemplate human ingenuity and the power of community in a beautiful city garden setting.
