Saturday, October 31 is the 25th anniversary of Mystery Lovers, an independent bookstore and one of our region’s gems. Mystery Lovers was founded by Mary Alice Gorman and Richard Goldman, who made Pittsburgh & Oakmont a huge draw for local and touring authors (as well as for readers!). They’ve retired from bookselling, but are still eagerly sought after for their recommendations, and so they’ve started a new website, Revuzeit, to do just that. The site features reviews of new and upcoming books and branches out into food and travel as well. “We are very excited about sharing our news with book lovers all our friends near and far,” said Mary Alice.
Rege Behe put the spotlight on Mystery Lovers this week in the Tribune-Review, and the store is celebrating with a free celebration on Saturday from 11am-5pm featuring a visit from local bestselling author Nancy Martin, a pre-sale for her latest book, light refreshments. Stop by and meet special guests Mary Alice and Richard as well as the current owners of the store, Natalie Sacco and Trevor Thomas. Littsburgh is excited to have these two in town, carrying the torch for this wonderful hub for readers and writers–here’s to the next 25 years!
So excited to celebrate with you all on Saturday!
