“We are delighted to invite you to Stories Like Me’s One Year Anniversary Party, “Feed Your Neighbor, Feed Your Mind” on February 24th, 2023, from 1pm to 4pm.
As part of the event, we are excited to welcome Erin Frankel, author of A Plate of Hope : The Inspiring Story of Chef José Andrés and World Central Kitchen, who will be reading and signing books on the day, beginning at 1:30pm.
During the festivities we will be doing a donation drive for the JFCS Squirrel Hill Food Pantry, which is directly across the street from us. If you bring a food or personal hygiene donation for JFCS, Stories Like Me will give you a coupon to use on the day towards your purchase. Click here to get the current list of most needed items.
We’re also instituting a new tradition (thank you to Mystery Lovers bookstore in Oakmont for the inspiration). We have a backlog of ARCs (advanced reader copies) that you can take home for a cash donation to Singing Winds Food Pantry – a Part of the Elders Program at The Council of Three Rivers Indians in Hazelwood. Take one, take three – there’s no limit but please support the cause!
We will have a brand new treasure hunt for kids, and gift baskets to be won! Come celebrate the first year of our being in our brick-and-mortar store with us!
Please fill out the following RSVP so we know if we will expect you.”
