The 2022 Pennwriters Conference (May 13th-15th, 2022) will feature two keynote speakers, literary agents and publishers, and an assortment of writing workshops and presentations.
LANCASTER, Pa. — For 35 years, writers from Pennsylvania and beyond have been gathering to network and learn about writing and the publishing industry at the annual Pennwriters Conference.
The three-day event, held at the DoubleTree Resort by Hilton in Lancaster, will begin Friday, May 13th, at 9 AM and conclude Sunday, May 15th, at 1 PM. Workshops, presentations and panels will be led by published authors, literary agents, marketing specialists, and publishing industry experts.
The Friday evening keynote speaker will be Jonathan Maberry, a NY Times bestselling suspense novelist, five-time Bram Stoker Award winner, and comic book writer.
The Saturday luncheon keynote speaker will be Jon Sprunk, the author of Book of the Black Earth fantasy series (Blood and Iron, Storm and Steel, Blade and Bone, Sun and Serpent). He also wrote the Shadow Saga (Shadow’s Son, Shadow’s Lure, and Shadow’s Master.). Shadow’s Son was a finalist for the Compton Crook Award and also a nominee for the David Gemmell Award in two categories.
The agents and publishers participating in this year’s conference are Ronald Gerber of Lowenstein Associates, Dawn Dowdle of Blue Ridge Literary Agency, Cathy Teets the President, Headline Books, and Lisa Kastner the Founder and Executive Editor, Running Wild Press.
