Please Carry Me
When I feel far
Away.
Maybe even
Distant.
Lost or gone
Astray.
Confused
Unsure of what to do.
While negative thoughts
Keep coming through.
Making me feel like
Giving up is the only option to pursue.
I ask you
Lord.
Carry me.
So, I could
Make it to you.
When my back
Is facing the wall.
As problems
Keep stacking
Up tall.
Carry me
If I fall.
When I’m tripping
Heal me until I’m calm.
When I get
Get tired of running.
At my last breath
Come in.
Carry me
Please.
So I could reach
My forthcoming.
Keep me strong
So my faith won’t become dull.
Rewire parts of
Me that has expired and all.
Lord
It’s you I call.
Carry me please
Even if I try to crawl.
Be my shoulder
I could lean upon.
When I call
Save my name
In your book
Catalog.
Carry me.
Even if
I’m truly not that strong.
Forgive me from my
Current and future wrongs
Carry me
Please.
When die
I want to hear the angels sing that song.
Heaven got to
Be a place for people like me.
All I ask.
Is if you
Could
Please
Carry
Me.
